Job summary

Huge is seeking a Design Director to lead the Creative Craft in the United States, directing visual, UI, brand, and product design across world-class brands. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, partner with clients, and drive growth while embracing AI-enabled workflows to maintain director-level quality.

You’ll set the creative bar, define visual strategy, and elevate craft through collaboration with product managers, strategy, and engineering, in a remote-capable U.S. role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in creative leadership.
• Depth in at least two design disciplines (visual/brand + product/UI, or interaction + motion).
• Strong portfolio with world-class brands, including AI-enabled work.
• Deep expertise in product and UI design, design systems, and Figma mastery.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-driven design and production tools.
• A point of view on where AI elevates design and where human craft leads.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and multiple workstreams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted client relationships, guiding visual and product design decisions.
• Translate brand, product, and business objectives into clear creative strategies.
• Define and own the visual and interface direction across products for consistency and impact.
• Set a high bar for UI craft, brand, visual systems, and motion.
• Lead design systems, UI frameworks, and visual identity evolution.
• Champion AI-augmented workflows and integrate them into team practice.
• Drive innovation across visual design, interaction, motion, and emerging tech.
• Mentor multi-disciplinary teams, coaching for depth and AI fluency.
• Provide clear direction, feedback, and growth opportunities for teams.
• Foster collaboration, excellence, experimentation, and growth.
• Oversee end-to-end design delivery across multiple programs.
• Partner with product, client services, strategy, and engineering to deliver scalable solutions.
• Maintain high standards of design quality and client satisfaction.
