Cohera in Orlando seeks a Design and Development Manager to lead the full proposal process—from concept to delivery—for high-impact programs, ensuring alignment with client goals, budget, and brand identity. You will coordinate décor, entertainment, venues, staffing, and activities, write client-facing content, and maintain vendor relationships to deliver compelling proposals on tight timelines.

This role requires flexibility to work late hours and weekends to meet deadlines and ensure project

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years work experience with a minimum of three years in hospitality.
• At least one year work experience in proposal writing, event design, creative marketing, or destination management.
• Proficiency in client relations, detailed budget management, event design, contract management, and vendor relations.
• Advanced writing and creative storytelling skills.
• Ability to develop customized, client-specific content.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of local destination offerings such as restaurants, clubs, festivals, tours, and venues.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead the full proposal process—from concept to delivery—for custom, high-impact programs.
• Own all aspects of proposal development, including ideation, pricing, and presentation delivery.
• Accurately scope and price décor, entertainment, venues, staffing, transportation, and activities.
• Write and adapt creative descriptions for client materials such as activities, venues, and restaurants.
• Conduct initial vendor outreach to confirm availability and information.
• Maintain direct communication with Sales and Strategic teams throughout pre-sale.
• Coordinate site inspections and vendor bookings with logistics.
• Manage workload to meet deadlines and keep scope aligned with budget.
• Join turnover meetings to ensure seamless handoffs and proper documentation.
• Flexibility to work late hours and weekends as needed.
• Update and maintain tariff library with new services and categories.
• Support ECS inventory maintenance and accuracy as directed.
• Build strong vendor relationships for reliable service and pricing.
• Align proposal content with client expectations and pricing parameters.
• Assist with logistics for familiarization tours and activations.
• Collaborate with Marketing on destination content for client materials.
• Stay informed on local venues and trends to inspire proposals.
• Ensure pricing, margins, timelines, and vendor docs are accurate across proposals.
