Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to build relationships and create a welcoming design center experience.
• Proven Retail Sales experience and familiarity with sales processes, goal-setting, and performance tracking in a customer-facing environment.
• Solid Product Knowledge and interest in interior design and home furnishings to confidently guide clients in their selections.
• Clear and professional Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers, team members, and corporate partners.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include prior retail leadership or supervisory experience, comfort with POS and CRM systems, basic visual merchandising skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, interior design, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Design Center’s retail sales operations, including overseeing daily showroom activities.
• Guide sales associates and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
• Support design and sales teams with product knowledge and merchandising direction.
• Provide performance coaching to achieve sales goals and maintain brand standards.
• Handle customer escalations and coordinate with corporate and logistics teams.
• Identify local market opportunities and promote collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with Ethan Allen’s standards.
