Ethan Allen in Corte Madera, CA is seeking a Design Center Manager to lead design teams, drive sales goals and manage customer relationships. You will coach designers, develop business plans, and ensure high customer satisfaction while upholding company policies.

The role emphasizes leadership, proven residential interior design sales, and the ability to manage P&L and community engagement efforts. A Bachelor’s or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience or High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive relevant work experience and practical interior design experience.
• Proven sales background in residential interior design.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall management of the design center.
• Hold team accountable through leadership and coaching to meet or exceed sales goals and benchmarks.
• Drive new business and increase sales with grass-roots marketing initiatives and digital channels.
• Review P&L statements monthly with Market Design Leader and Market Operations Leader.
• Develop and participate in community programs to increase exposure.
• Complete performance appraisals per company policy.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies including code of conduct and harassment policies.
• Provide guidance to ensure sales growth, financial integrity and asset protection.
• Implement policies and monitor compliance.
• Provide training sessions for the design center and corporate training.
• Set monthly and quarterly goals with designers.
• Propose ideas for policy changes to grow the business.
• Reconcile inventories and report results.
• Execute innovative strategies to grow the business.
• Perform other duties as required.
