Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Design-Build Project Engineer to join its Transportation Practice. You will work with Design Managers, Project Managers, and technical leaders to deliver complex transportation infrastructure using design-build and alternative delivery methods.

The role offers growth opportunities across the full project lifecycle in a collaborative, client-facing environment. You will gain hands-on experience, develop technical expertise, and strengthen leadership skills within Jacobs'

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, or other delivery methods.
• EIT certification required or in progress.
• Experience on roadway, bridge, transit, aviation, or municipal projects.
• Strong communication and coordination across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of transportation projects using Design-Build and other methods.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on roadway, bridge, transit, and aviation projects.
• Assist with project planning, coordination, and development of deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Support design development and preparation of plans, specs, and reports.
• Assist with schedule tracking and milestones.
• Participate in design reviews and constructability reviews.
• Provide construction-phase support including RFI responses and submittal reviews.
