Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on high-profile design-build commercial construction projects in the Des Moines area. You will oversee on-site activities from preconstruction to closeout, coordinating with project managers, preconstruction teams, architects, and engineers to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience.
• Experience leading ground-up or large-scale renovation projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project or similar software.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities for design-build commercial projects from groundbreaking through project completion.
• Manage daily field operations including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, logistics, quality control, and site safety.
• Collaborate with project managers, preconstruction teams, architects, engineers, and owners throughout the design-build process.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues, design conflicts, and constructability challenges.
• Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Ensure all work complies with plans, specs, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
