Job summary

ARCO Design/Build seeks an ambitious Construction Design/Build Project Manager Intern/Co-op to learn the full lifecycle of a project. You’ll work with experienced professionals across design, estimating, scheduling, and field operations to understand how projects come to life from concept through final delivery.

You’ll participate in design meetings, assist with timelines, prepare progress reports, and shadow DBMs on site visits.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited civil, mechanical, architectural, construction management, building science, or construction engineering program.
• Driver’s License is required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Previous co-op or intern experience in construction preferred but not required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project from concept to delivery.
• Attend design meetings with owner and design team, including engineers and architects.
• Assist with scheduling and timeline development for subcontractors and trades.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and track action items.
• Observe project calls and site meetings with Design/Build Managers.
• Learn about buyout, bidding, and subcontractor communications.
• Assist with permitting, submittals, and approvals processes.
• Participate in training sessions and development activities.
