Job summary

ARCO National Holdings in Pittsburgh seeks a motivated Design/Build Manager to oversee project performance from day one. You will manage estimating, scheduling, design coordination, and buyouts while coordinating with owners and the design team to develop concepts and value engineering ideas.

The role requires 1–5 years of design/build experience, a BS in engineering, and a commitment to quality and integrity in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field; with a minimum of 3.2 GPA.
• 1-5 years of design/build experience.
• Ability to effectively make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
• Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making improvements.
• Act with integrity in alignment with company values and meet/exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss cost-reduction ideas, and provide value engineering.
• Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site.
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes and seeking improvements.
• Act with integrity supporting the company, its values, and meeting/exceeding customer requirements.
