Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Manager in Chicago to lead design-build projects from concept through closeout, typically ranging from $20 million to over $200 million. You will work within a team to deliver safe, on-time and on-budget solutions for nationwide clients.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture and 6–10 years of experience managing large-scale projects, with a strong safety record and ability to lead a PM team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience managing construction projects (>$25 million).
• Strong safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Experience with set-up, budget planning, buyout, and cost reporting.
• Leadership of a successful project management team.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from conceptual stages through closeout as part of a team.
• Develop Project Chart of Accounts with project team and preconstruction services.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent on site logistics planning.
• Assist Superintendent in management of subcontractors.
• Maintain understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract.
• Oversee submittal, change order, and pay request processes.
• Assist in generation of project costs and Job Cost Reports.
• Contribute to quarterly Total Cost Projection forecasts.
• Monitor and record staff training and project labor.
• Report and track equipment needs; assist in bidding projects.
• Support safety, EEO, and Affimative Action programs and project quality.
