Job summary

JD Ross Energy in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a seasoned Project Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations on design-build projects from preconstruction through closeout. You’ll coordinate multi-trade subcontractors, drive safety, quality, and schedule, and ensure compliance with contract requirements and codes.

Required: 5+ years in construction management on public-sector or commercial projects, strong HVAC/MEP knowledge, OSHA 30, and willingness to travel to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction management or superintendent roles on commercial or public-sector projects.
• Experience with design-build delivery.
• Strong technical background in HVAC, MEP systems, lighting/controls, or energy-efficiency upgrades.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of construction schedules, sequencing, and field operations.
• Experience working with municipalities, school districts, or government agencies.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring clear scopes, sequencing, and accountability.
• Oversee project schedules, daily progress, manpower planning, and critical path activities.
• Conduct site walks, quality checks, and safety audits; enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and project managers to resolve field issues and maintain design intent.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders for accuracy and constructability.
• Track project costs, materials, and equipment; support procurement and delivery planning.
• Maintain relationships with owners, inspectors, and public-sector stakeholders.
• Ensure all work complies with contract requirements, building codes, and agency standards.
• Support project reporting, documentation, and closeout deliverables.
