Job summary

Harrell Remodeling is seeking a Design + Build Estimator / Specifier to join our Bay Area team. You will meet with Designers to develop preliminary and final estimates, coordinate the flow of design projects, and schedule on-site visits with production teams and trade specialists.

Responsibilities include preparing conceptual and final estimates, contract specs, and construction contracts. You will help establish project calendars and offer value-engineered options aligned with client

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in residential design/construction.
• Computer proficiency and skill in Word, Excel, Sage100, BuilderTrend (estimating software is a plus).
• Good interpersonal skills and concern for internal and external clients.
• Current product and cost expertise for doors, windows, skylights, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing fixtures, finishes, millwork, appliances, and flooring.
• Understand the basics of all areas of residential construction including demolition, concrete, framing, roofing, and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the Designer to understand the scope of work and produce estimates.
• Coordinate the flow of design projects through estimating/specifying phase.
• Schedule on-site visits with Designers, Production Team and Trade Specialists.
• Verify data accuracy and consult with trades on feasibility.
• Create material and labor takeoffs and prepare estimates and contracts.
• Work with team to create project calendars and cost plans.
• Offer value-engineered design alternatives while considering costs and buildability.
