Job summary

Clark Pacific in West Sacramento is seeking an Estimator, Design Build to assist Senior Estimators and Preconstruction Managers with project estimates, subcontractor solicitations, and buyout. You will work with the DB operations team to mitigate risks and maximize margins throughout the design process.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or engineering is required, with 2–5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• General knowledge of construction principles and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• General knowledge of negotiated bids, hard bids, and GMP processes.
• Working knowledge of estimating technologies and tools, including QTO and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review quantity take-offs.
• Assist in developing conceptual project estimates and budgets.
• Support lump sum estimating and GMP budgeting activities by soliciting subcontractor participation and evaluating bids.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontractor bid packages.
• Coordinate and provide information to subcontractors and communicate project scope clearly.
• Assist in reviewing milestone documents to price value engineering options.
• Prepare contractual scope-of-work exhibits for subcontract agreements.
• Support field operations with change order pricing as needed.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Represent Clark Pacific professionally at industry events and networking opportunities.
