Job summary

The Newport Group - Executive Recruiters is seeking a Director/VP of Design-Build to oversee commercial construction operations in Arizona and Texas, and future markets. This leadership role drives design from conception to completion, improves field processes, and expands our network of general and specialty contractors.

Responsibilities include guiding design-build efforts, budgeting, schedules, QA and safety, mentoring field managers, and coordinating meetings and reviews to deliver projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years supervisory experience in commercial construction or design-build.
• Experience in owner/developer, design-build firm, or general contractor roles with preconstruction experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-build efforts with architects, engineers and stakeholders from schematic design through closeout.
• Develop and maintain budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee project execution: QA, safety, code adherence, and construction best practices on sites.
