Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (Design Build) to join a mid-size general contractor in Elmhurst, IL. You will assist the on-site superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, monitor safety and schedule, and help drive project delivery on industrial, manufacturing, and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing all on-site construction activities from start to finish
• Support coordination and supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Help maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
• Monitor daily jobsite operations including safety, quality control, and productivity
• Conduct site walks to ensure work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications
• Assist with logistics planning, material deliveries, and site organization
• Participate in subcontractor meetings and help drive accountability on-site
• Track and report project progress, identifying and escalating potential issues early
• Enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
