Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations from project startup through closeout on commercial design-build projects in the Kansas City area. You will work with seasoned superintendents and project managers to keep schedules, ensure quality, and promote safety on site.

Qualifications include 2+ years in commercial construction leadership, ground-up project experience, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project. OSHA 30 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily jobsite activities and enforce safety standards.
  • Support project scheduling, inspections, punch lists and closeout activities.
  • Assist with reading and interpreting drawings, specs and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers and trade partners to meet project goals.

Job Details
  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience in an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar field leadership role.
  • Experience supporting ground-up commercial construction projects; design-build experience is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Assist with coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project progress.
  • Help monitor daily jobsite activities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Support project scheduling, inspections, punch list completion, and project closeout activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship while delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
