Jobot, a Mid Size, Design Build GC, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to join a busy Chicagoland team. You will assist the on-site Superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, monitor safety and quality, and help keep schedules on track.

This role offers a clear promotion path and strong bonus potential. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in commercial construction, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and OSHA 10/30 certification.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction (field or project engineering preferred).
• Exposure to ground-up or industrial/commercial projects is a plus.
• Basic understanding of construction means & methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented field environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a lead Superintendent role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing all on-site construction activities from start to finish.
• Support coordination and supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Help maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Monitor daily jobsite operations including safety, quality control, and productivity.
• Conduct site walks to ensure work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Assist with logistics planning, material deliveries, and site organization.
• Participate in subcontractor meetings and help drive accountability on-site.
• Track and report project progress, identifying and escalating potential issues early.
• Enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
