Job summary

Innovative Tech Solutions Inc in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a talented Design and Release Engineer to drive component and system development from concept to production in a fast-paced environment, delivering engineering excellence.

You will lead design and release activities, manage CAD models and drawings, support DFMEA and DVP&R, and collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams to ensure design intent and quality meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of design and release or product engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA or SolidWorks).
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter or Windchill).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and release activities for components and systems throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Create, manage, and release engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams to ensure design intent is met.
• Support design reviews, DFMEA, DVP&R, and other engineering validation processes.
• Manage BOM (Bill of Materials) creation, part numbering, and change management processes.
• Identify and resolve design issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal engineering specifications.
