Job summary
Innovative Tech Solutions Inc in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Design and Release Engineer to drive product development from concept to production. You will lead design activities, manage CAD models and documentation, and collaborate across manufacturing, suppliers, and programs to ensure design intent is met.
The role requires 2+ years in design/release, CAD proficiency, and PLM experience (Teamcenter/Windchill).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years in design and release or product engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD software and GD&T.
- Experience with PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and release activities across the product lifecycle.
- Create and manage drawings, CAD models, and documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and programs to meet design intent.
- Support design reviews, DFMEA, and DVP&R processes.
- Manage BOM creation, part numbering, and change processes.
- Identify and resolve design issues via root cause analysis.
- Ensure conformance to standards and customer requirements.
