Job summary

Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Park Supervisor to oversee daily park operations, programs, facilities, and events. You will lead a team to ensure guest safety, protect resources, and deliver exceptional visitor experiences at regional parks in the county.

The role includes managing staff, coordinating maintenance and revenue-generating activities, and collaborating with stakeholders to support park initiatives and community connections across the Maricopa County

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a park or related recreation field.
• One year of supervisory experience (preferably within a park or recreation environment)
• High School Diploma
• A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the daily operation of a regional park and its services, facilities, and activities.
• Oversee park programs and amenities, including special use events, resource protection, trails, campgrounds, and safety programs.
• Coordinate administration duties to maximize revenue generation and ensure efficient use of park facilities and resources; monitor budgets and financial performance.
• Develop and support marketing initiatives to promote the Park, its programs, facilities, and events; manage communications and public outreach.
• Serve as a liaison between the Department, stakeholders, and other agencies regarding park operations and resource stewardship.
