Job summary

Midwest Veterinary Supply, Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Des Moines call center. This 100% onsite role involves taking orders, providing promotions and pricing information, and delivering timely resolution to partner clinics.

You will support internal customers and field reps, build relationships, upsell where appropriate, and work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum of one year experience in veterinary industry-related position or customer service position required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong listening and verbal communication skills including diplomacy and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work accurately with highly detailed information.
• Ability to learn a vast array of product lines.
• Basic computer skills to include data entry.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for products over the phone from veterinary customers, field sales representatives and manufacturer representatives and enter them into the system, cross-selling and upselling.
• Make outbound calls to clinics to solicit orders and provide information on new products and promotions.
• Resolve requests including credits, returns, price quotes, and special orders.
• Read, understand and organize mail, fax and emails; manage voice mail from internal and external customers.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
