Job summary

PG&E IT is seeking an experienced IT Tech Lead for the Distribution Energy Resources Management System (DERMS) platform, based in Oakland with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves leading both development and operations for DERMS, coordinating with business teams, vendors, and developers to deliver scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years in enterprise IT, and deep experience with DERMS/SCADA/DMS-ADMS, cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and equivalent experience.
• 5 years of IT experience with enterprise software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT development activities: identify and develop DERMS use cases, design architectures, translate user stories to tasks, support vendor/developer teams, drive performance.
• Lead IT operations activities: mentor staff, mature DERMS support model, ensure health and availability, deploy system enhancements, coordinate with vendors/outsourcers, monitor KPIs/SLAs, oversee Grid DERMS commissioning.
