Job summary

The Oregon Clinic in Portland, OR is hiring a full-time Patient Services Specialist for our Dermatology Clinic in Northwest Portland. You will work with physicians and staff to provide an excellent patient experience, handling check-ins/outs, scheduling, insurance information, and referrals.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a medical office, strong customer service, familiarity with EMR systems (Epic a plus), and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with patients.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes; EMR experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in and out new and established patients.
• Promote efficient scheduling and patient access for surgeries and appointments.
• Obtain and complete insurance information.
• Answer phones on a multi-line system.
• Process incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
• Update records as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
