The Portland Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed practitioners in patient treatment and care. This role involves rooming patients, vital signs, and assisting with in-office procedures to ensure smooth clinic operations.

You will participate in comprehensive patient care, maintain accurate records in the EHR, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered team environment. A strong emphasis on HIPAA compliance and teamwork is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Basic understanding of medical terminology and infection control.
• Proficiency in documenting in the EHR accurately.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain patient confidentiality.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for exams with proper room setup and vitals in the EHR.
• Assist physicians with in-office procedures and exams as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms per OSHA guidelines.
• Manage front desk tasks: scheduling, messages, prescriptions, and referrals.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Precept and orient new staff; participate in daily huddles and meetings.
