Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Nurse Clinician for Dermatology to join our full-time day team. You will perform patient assessments, coordinate care, and provide education while maintaining a safe, compliant environment within a multidisciplinary dermatology unit.

The role emphasizes independent clinical judgment, collaboration with physicians, and timely documentation of nursing interventions and patient education for our diverse patient population.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure OSHA compliance and report deficiencies.
• Provide pre-attending care for patients with comprehensive assessments and documentation.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs, and specimen handling.
• Interpret and respond to abnormalities; document interventions clearly in the medical record.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure patient care and education.
• Triage and prioritize incoming calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations per organization protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians for problem solving and decision-making.
