Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Frisco, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced clinic. The ideal candidate assists with exams, takes medical histories, and records patient information in the EMR system while delivering compassionate, professional care.

Responsibilities include assisting with biopsies and cosmetic procedures, preparing specimens, and coordinating follow-ups.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.
• Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette.
• Teamwork.
• Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
• Compassionate and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
• Able to prioritize tasks and understand the provider’s instructions.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
