Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from approved medical assistant/medical secretary program or equivalent preferred.
• One to three years as a medical assistant, medical secretary preferred.
• EMR experience required; Athena a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in delivering care to patients.
• Room patients and prepare for provider visit.
• Take vital signs and enter into EMR accurately.
• Record patient history, chief complaint, and prescriptions in EMR.
• Obtain required consents and forms for visit types.
• Perform in-office testing and controls.
• Chaperone Providers as required.
• Stock rooms and monitor supplies.
