Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations in a busy Primary Care Clinic. Under supervision of a licensed nurse or provider, you will assist with patient intake, vitals, basic procedures, and documentation in the electronic medical record.

This role also covers front desk tasks such as registration, scheduling, and verifying demographics and financial information to facilitate patient flow.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a medical assistant program.
• Clinical rotation experience or equivalent healthcare work.
• Two years of previous work experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care in a non-judgmental, respectful manner to patients.
• Gathers and documents patient information, registers patients, and verifies demographics and financial information.
• Assists with intake, vitals, chart review, scheduling, and coordination of patient flow within ambulatory care.
