Family Dermatology, pc is seeking a Part Time Medical Assistant in Osprey, FL to support dermatology physicians in patient care. The role involves patient rooming, updating histories, documenting visit details, and assisting with procedures such as biopsies, injections, and laser treatments.

The ideal candidate has 0–3 years of derm experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent teamwork. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual is Preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with a team to manage an average patient volume of up to 40 patients daily.
• Document patient histories, including HPI, medical, surgical and family history, medications, and allergies.
• Prepare and assist with dermatological and cosmetic procedures (biopsies, excisions, injections, laser, etc.).
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
• Ensure sterile techniques and infection control practices.
• Process prescriptions and manage prior authorizations.
• Log pathology samples and coordinate with laboratories.
• Operate specialized equipment such as Narrowband UVB and PDT units.
• Maintain and replenish supplies in examination rooms.
