Job summary

Water's Edge Dermatology, a Florida-based dermatology practice, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers during patient visits, including dermatology consultations and procedures. The role requires patient-facing duties, sterile technique, and accurate documentation in the EMR system.

The ideal candidate will have MA certification or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel between locations as needed. Dermatology experience is a plus; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during patient visits, including consults and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Provide support during surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain clean, organized exam rooms.
• Review medical history, document in EMR and maintain confidentiality.
• Obtain consents when necessary and coordinate with staff.
• Call in prescriptions and manage patient follow-up calls and administrative tasks.
