DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking motivated Medical Assistants for a 1–2 year gap year opportunity, ideal for pre-PA or pre-med students. You will gain real-world clinical exposure, support dermatology teams, and prepare for your next step in medicine.

You will handle patient intake, EHR data entry, patient guidance, assist physicians during exams, schedule procedures, and participate in wound care, phlebotomy, and lab tasks, with mentorship from experienced providers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Interested in pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Pre-Med.
• Passion for patient care and a self-motivated spirit.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborative team player ready to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and gather medical history.
• Enter patient data into EMA EHR.
• Guide patients through visits and examinations.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Schedule medical procedures with care.
• Provide instructions on medication usage.
• Perform wound care, phlebotomy, and lab specimen collection.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and supplies.
• Receive one-on-one mentorship from providers.
