Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking motivated Medical Assistants for a 1–2 year gap year opportunity. Join a large dermatology network and gain hands-on clinical and procedural patient care experience within a supportive mentorship program.

As part of our healthcare team, you will verify patient information, enter data into EMA EHR, assist physicians, and participate in wound care, phlebotomy, and lab specimen collection while preparing for PA or Medical School pathways.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Interest in pursuing PA school or medical careers.
• Strong passion for patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and medical history.
• Enter patient data into EMA EHR.
• Guide patients through visit and prepare for examinations.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Schedule procedures with precision and care.
• Provide medication usage instructions and patient empowerment.
• Perform wound care, phlebotomy, and lab specimen collection.
• Maintain safe, organized work environment and stocked supplies.
• Receive mentorship from providers.
