Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking motivated Medical Assistants for a 1–2 year gap year opportunity, ideal for pre-PA or pre-Med students. You will gain real-world clinical and procedural patient care experience while supporting our healthcare team.

As a Medical Assistant, you will verify patient information, enter data into EMA EHR, assist during exams, schedule procedures, provide medication guidance, and help with wound care and phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Pre-Med or PA school pathway interest.
• Passion for patient care and teamwork.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and medical history.
• Enter data into EMA EHR system.
• Guide patients through visits and prepare for examinations.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Schedule medical procedures with care.
• Provide medication usage instructions.
• Support wound care, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
• Maintain organized clinical areas and supplies.
• Receive mentorship from providers.
