Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology, P.A. is hiring a Medical Assistant to join outpatient dermatology clinics in Wilmington, Clinton, Whiteville, Shallotte and Burgaw, NC. This role supports physicians by rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with dermatology procedures.

The MA floater will travel to all locations to support general, surgical, and Mohs dermatology teams, with a schedule from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Prior EMR experience and patient-care focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant program preferred or as required by state law.
• 1–2 years of recent MA, CNA, or clinical patient care experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document intake in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow and support clinic operations.
• Prepare and assist with dermatology procedures and routes for pathology samples.
• Maintain infection control and inventory of clinical supplies.
• Document provider notes in the EMR and assist with local anesthesia.
• Support HIPAA compliance and travel between locations as needed.
