Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology is hiring a Medical Assistant to support outpatient dermatology clinics in Wilmington, Clinton, Whiteville, Shallotte and Burgaw, NC. The MA will prep trays, obtain vitals, and assist providers across general, surgical and Mohs dermatology.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, dermatology experience a plus, and MA certification preferred. Travel among nearby locations may be required; schedule is 7:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dermatology experience a plus.
• Medical Assistant program or certification preferred.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
• Comfort with clinical procedures and patient care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs in EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow and clinic operations.
• Prepare procedure trays and assist with dermatology procedures.
• Handle specimens according to insurance requirements.
• Respond to patient questions and nurse line messages.
• Maintain clinical space cleanliness and inventory.
• Document patient information and provider notes in EMR.
