Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Plano, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant per diem to support physicians in exam rooms, record histories, assist with biopsies and lab work, and maintain clean, stocked exam spaces.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of medical office experience, strong communication skills, and EMR familiarity. CMA certification is preferred but not required; a high school diploma is required. Excellent benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette and teamwork.
• Able to prioritize tasks and follow provider instructions.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for the examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist physician/provider in the room by scribing notes in the medical record.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organization of exam rooms and stocking supplies.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
