Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Mesa, AZ seeks a friendly Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will escort patients, document histories, assist with procedures, and maintain exam rooms and charts.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in a medical office, dermatology experience, and strong communication. Medical Assistant training is required; CMA preferred but not mandatory. This is a full-time on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology experience is required.
• Prior Mohs experience is preferred.
• Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette.
• Teamwork and professional appearance.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients' current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect pathology/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
