Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is hiring a Medical Assistant in Plano, TX to support physicians in dermatology exams and cosmetic procedures. You will document histories, assist with procedures, and manage specimens while maintaining a clean, efficient back office environment.

The role requires 2–3 years in a medical office, dermatology/Mohs experience, and familiarity with EMA/ECW EMR systems. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Dermatology and Mohs experience required.
• Experience with EMA and ECW is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and team-oriented.
• Experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam room and prepare them for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Scribe notes for physician in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, schedule follow-ups.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms and stocking supplies.
• Laboratory maintenance including cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
