Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Plano, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our dermatology clinics with compassionate patient care, accurate charting, and assistance to physicians during exams and procedures. The successful candidate will have 2–3 years of medical office experience, strong written and verbal communication, excellent phone etiquette, and solid organizational skills.

Dermatology experience and EMR familiarity are a plus; this is an on-site role with a professional team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant training required; certification preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office; dermatology/cosmetic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist physician with biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organization of exam rooms; stock supplies.
• Maintain back-office operations and patient flow.
