Job summary

Dermatology Specialists, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and patients in a fast-paced dermatology setting. You will welcome patients, prepare rooms, collect specimens, document histories, and assist with Mohs surgery and cosmetic procedures.

The role requires a capable multitasker with empathy, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of EMR systems. Travel to other DSI locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years MA experience preferred.
• Experience with dermatology or Mohs surgery is a plus.
• Knowledge of specimen handling and lab workflows.
• Ability to travel to other DSI locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and guide patients to exam rooms
• Prepare, collect, and label lab specimens
• Document patient histories and physical exam findings
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain sanitation standards
• Return patient calls and respond to questions as directed
• Provide post-care instructions following provider guidance
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in the EMR
• Set up and assist with dermatologic procedures, including:
• Skin tag removal
• Biopsies
• Excisions
• Chemical peels
• Support cosmetic procedures such as Botox and laser treatments
