Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; medical assisting certification preferred.
• Experience in a physician’s office or healthcare setting is a plus; training provided.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and medical documentation is expected.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical providers with day-to-day patient care and health services.
• Document patient histories, vitals, and exam details in the EMR on the same day.
• Prepare exam rooms, sterile instruments, and clinical supplies for procedures.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and tests; respond to patient inquiries promptly.
• Administer injections, assist with examinations, and perform suture removals as directed.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with standards of conduct and privacy.
