Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant at the AMG Grand Ave Dermatology location. The role supports physicians and the care team in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, focusing on patient comfort, accuracy in vital signs, histories, and preparations for exams.

You will assist during procedures, administer vaccines as directed, manage lab tasks, and document care in the electronic health record while collaborating with nurses and other teammates to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
