Job summary

Dermatology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality patient care at our on-site clinics in the region. The role involves preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, collecting patient information, and educating patients on treatment plans while upholding our core values.

Responsibilities include accurate intake, EMR documentation, HIPAA compliance, and timely communication with patients.

Qualifications

• Adapt to new technologies including EMR systems to ensure accurate patient data and efficient workflows.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and uphold ethical standards in patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures to support providers.
• Obtain patient histories and chief complaints and document exams in the EMR.
• Complete prior authorizations and medication requests efficiently.
• Schedule follow-ups and respond to patient messages within 24 hours.
• Take initiative on start-of-day and end-of-day tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
