Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices.
• Ability to document patient encounters clearly and legibly.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy and security rules.
• Experience with typing at least 50 WPM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain efficient patient flow in the clinic.
• Check in patients, obtain vitals, review histories and medications.
• Document patient visit information in EMR accurately.
• Document any patient communication in EMR.
• E-prescribe under physician supervision.
• Communicate effectively with patients and physicians.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked.
