Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as a medical assistant or CNA.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred; 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow complex technical instructions.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients.
• Understand medical terminology, procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments.
• Complies with all policies and procedures.
• Assist provider with procedures and rooming patients.
• Transcribe real-time examinations into EMR.
• Communicate test results to patient via MyChart, telephone, or letter.
• Track and document results in Pathology book.
• Complete prior authorizations for non-biologic medications.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in patient rooms.
• Travel to provide coverage as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
