Job summary

Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery (CAPS) in Ohio seeks a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse with dermatology experience to join our Dermatology team. This full-time role supports physicians with patient care, including biopsies, excisions, and dressing changes, while keeping patients informed and comfortable.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of dermatology experience; LPNs must hold an active Ohio license. MAs should have CMA/RMA/NCMA certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant or LPN in dermatology.
• LPN candidates must hold an active Ohio license.
• MA candidates: CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open/close exam rooms daily; prepare rooms per physician preferences.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, and dressing changes.
• Escort patients, take vitals, and update medication lists.
• Set up rooms for dermatologic procedures; anticipate physician needs.
• Assist physicians with dermatologic surgical procedures.
• Schedule procedures and obtain required authorizations.
• Maintain supplies, manage inventory and lab paperwork.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and medications.
