Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical receptionist experience preferred.
• Dermatology or specialty practice experience highly preferred.
• EHR systems experience required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls on a multi-line system and respond to voicemails.
• Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments.
• Greet patients and verify/update demographics and insurance information.
• Process check-out, schedule returns, and collect co-pays.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Post charges and co-pays and reconcile daily transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area.
• Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining patient records in the EHR.
• Follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines for privacy and safety.
• Provide general administrative support and perform related duties.
