Knuckles Dermatology in Kentucky is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-centered practice providing clinical and administrative support in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. The ideal candidate is driven, dependable, eager to learn, and able to work collaboratively with a team.

Dermatology experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced dermatology setting and provide patient-focused service.
• Experience in dermatology is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examination.
• Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians and providers with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies.
• Perform clinical tasks such as injections, wound care, suture removal, and specimen handling.
• Assist with biopsies, surgeries, and dermatologic procedures.
• Provide patient education and relay provider instructions.
• Process prescriptions, prior authorizations, and refill requests.
• Support scheduling, charting, and EMR documentation.
