Forefront Dermatology in Gainesville is actively seeking a Patient Service Representative for a fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will greet patients, check in for appointments, verify insurance, and scan documents into the electronic health record, while keeping the reception area organized and efficient.

Essential duties include coordinating schedules, processing follow-ups, handling mail, and assisting with cosmetic product sales.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties.
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
• Scans documents into electronic health record.
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day.
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
• Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record.
• Orders clinic office supplies.
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
• Distributes mail.
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments.
