Job summary

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct telephone calls; take messages as needed.
• Return patient calls when appropriate.
• Enter/update patient demographics ensuring accuracy.
• Process and reassign requests via patient portal/website.
• Submit new patient requests to physicians via EHR.
• Verify insurance eligibility at the time of same-day scheduling.
• Handle appointment cancellation and prescription refill information.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in training.
• Collaborate with clinical team for coordinated patient care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
