Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group in Asheville, NC is seeking a Medical Receptionist to greet patients, answer calls, collect insurance information, and manage front-desk duties with a focus on patient care and accuracy.

Responsibilities include data entry into EHR systems, scheduling, collecting balances, and providing guidance to patients while maintaining a safe and organized front desk environment. Prior medical terminology knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones
• Greeting patients and vendors
• Signing patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data
• Data entry into EHR systems.
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed
• Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
